Install the Microsoft Authenticator App Using QR Code

Alternatively, you can install and connect the app by scanning a QR code:

1. On your PC, visithttps://aka.ms/setupmfa and sign in to your Microsoft account.
2. A QR code will appear. Leave the webpage open.
3. On your phone, go tohttps://aka.ms/authapp and install the Microsoft Authenticator app.
4. Open the app and tap “Add account” > “Work or school account”.
5. Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen.
6. The app will add your account and you can enable it for MFA.
